Ten terrorists were killed in various operations by security forces in Dera Ismail Khan and the Northern Waziristan districts in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Friday.
The ISPR, the army media wing, said the terrorists killed in the day after day were actively involved in many terrorist activities against the security forces as well as the murder of innocent civilians.
“On January 30-31, 2024, ten Khwarij were killed in various operations by the security forces of the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” said the ISPR. The term Khwarij referred to terrorists belonging to Pakistan of Tehreek-E-Taliban Prohibited (TTP).
“On the reported presence of Khwarij, an intelligence operation [IBO] was led by security forces in the general zone of Khulachi, Dera Ismail Khan District. During the conduct of the operation, his own troops actually hired the location of Khwarij and, as a result, four Khwarij were sent to hell, “said the ISPR.
“In four distinct meetings in the district of northern Waziristan, fires took place between the security forces and Khwarij in the general area Datta Khel, Hassan Khel, Ghumam Khan and Mir Ali. Consequently, six Khwarij were neutralized with Success by their own troops, “continued.
“Weapons and ammunition have also been recovered from Khwarij killed, which has been actively involved in many terrorist activities in these regions against security forces as well as the murder of innocent civilians,” added the ISPR.
According to the media wing of the army, disinfection operations were carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the region. He added that Pakistan security forces were determined to eliminate the country’s threat.
Terrorists’ operations occurred in the midst of an increase in terrorist violence in areas along the border with Afghanistan. The ISPR said on Thursday, the security forces neutralized six terrorists in an IBO in the Mir Ali region in the Northern Waziristan district, in which two security personnel have adopted martyrdom.
Meanwhile, President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in their separate messages, congratulated the security forces for carrying out successful operations against the districts of Fitna-Al-Khwarij in Dera Ismail Khan and northern Waziristan And appreciated their courage for killing 10 terrorists.
