Lahore:
The Emergency Service of Punjab (Rescue 1122) is on alert to respond to any unfortunate situation during the ongoing emergencies of monsoon and flood, said the Secretary of Emergency Services, Dr. Rizwan Naseer, during a press approach.
He said that response units to the RESCUE 1122 floods, including more than 100 boats, 312 trained rescuers, OBM engines and emergency equipment, have been deployed in vulnerable and low areas of the province.
Dr. Naseer urged citizens to monitor the roofs and the environment during precipitation to avoid losses of lives or goods due to the accumulation of water.
He said 1,594 people were saved during the current rain period.
