Deadly collision between Hiace car and Hiace car on Karak-Indus highway leaves six dead, nine injured; five dead in Nowshera roof collapse

A fatal collision between a Hiace and a car on the Karak-Indus highway has left six people dead. Meanwhile, five members of a family lost their lives in Nowshera when the roof of their house collapsed.

According to details, a traffic accident occurred on Saturday on the Karak-Indus highway near Metha Khel area, leaving six dead and nine injured. Rescue teams rushed to the scene and provided first aid to the injured, before transporting them to the hospital in the district capital.

Authorities estimate that the death toll could rise as the condition of some of the injured is considered critical. Traffic on the highway remained disrupted until the end of the rescue operation. The causes of the crash are currently under investigation, with initial reports indicating that poor road conditions and possible driver error may have contributed to the crash.

In another incident, the roof of a house collapsed in Dag Jadeed area of ​​Nowshera, killing five family members and injuring three. Rescue teams transported the injured and deceased to hospital.

The five people who lost their lives in the collapse were identified as Rizwan, 36; Walida, 9 years old; Ayan, 6 years old; Hafsa, 5 years old; and Dua, 4 years old. Among the injured were a woman, her son and her daughter. Following the incident, KP Director of Rescue Operations Dr Mir Alam Khan and Nowshera District Emergency Officer Malik Ashfaq Hussain arrived at the spot and supervised the rescue efforts.
