11 of a family killed in a Faisalabad accident

Faisalabad:

Eleven members of a single family – including a mother and two daughters – lost their lives, and several others were injured, including four children, in a deadly collision between a passenger bus and a Qingqi rickshaw on Lahore Road near Mondayanwala.

The victims returned home after spending the holidays at Eid when the Bus linked to Lahore (LRO-2562 recording number) struck the rickshaw due to the alleged negligence of the driver.

The accident occurred in the jurisdiction of the Mondayanwala police station.

Those killed on site include Mumtaz Bibi, 35 years old; His daughters, Muskan, 14 and Iman, 15 years old; Faizan, 12 years old; Shazia, 35; Shehzad, 26 years old; Amina Bibi, 18, and a 15 -year -old human.

Several others were seriously injured in the accident: Amina, 12, Hassan, 7, Aliza, 14, Salman, 8, Nouman, 10, Sargam, 14 and Nazia, 35.

They received first aid by the 1122 rescue staff, then moved to the Civil Hospital Faisalabad.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the speed bus tried to exceed another vehicle and collided head-on with the rickshaws carrying the family. The rickshaw was completely crushed.

Despite the accident near a police station, the authorities were needed to arrive at the scene. Bodies of five of the deceased, including children, have been lying on the road for hours before being transferred to Jaranwala hospital after the initial police formalities.

Police warned the Qingqi bus and push pousse, while efforts are underway to arrest the drivers, who both fled the premises following the accident.

A large number of premises gathered on the scene after the accident, causing a serious disruption of traffic on the road.

The police confirmed that the deceased was all part of the same family and was on the way back after the break of Eid when the tragedy occurred.
