* 11 Pakistani army soldiers marted in Orakzai operation, KP

During a high intensity intelligence operation (IBO) in the Orakzai district, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, members of the Pakistani army, including Lieutenant-Colonel Junaid Arif and Major Tayyab Rahat, sacrificed their lives, confirmed the public service public relations (ISPR).

The IBO, conducted around midnight, involved intense shots with terrorists belonging to the Fitna Al Khwarij group, supported by India. The troops managed to neutralize the positions of activists, killing 19 terrorists, added the ISPR.

Lieutenant-Colonel Junaid Arif, 39, and his second commander, Major Tayyab Rahat, 39, both residents of Rawalpindi, led the operation from the front and kissed the martyrdom alongside nine other soldiers.

The soldiers who fell in combat include Naib Subedar Azam Gul (38, Khyber), Naik Adil Hussain (35, Kurram), Naik Gul Ameer (34, tank), launches Naik Sher Khan (31, Mardan), launches Naik Talish Faraz (32, Manshera), launches Naik Irshad Hussain (32, Kurram), Sepoy Tufail Khan (28 years old). Malakand), Sepoy Aqib Ali (23, Swabi) and Sepoy Muhammad Zahid (24, tank).

The ISPR said that disinfection operations are underway to eliminate all militants remaining in the area. “The sacrifices of our courageous soldiers strengthen our determination to eliminate from Pakistan the terrorism sponsored by India,” he said.

This operation is part of a series of recent successes in the fight against terrorism. On October 1, seven terrorists of Fitna al Khwarij were killed during an IBO in the Sherani district in Balutchistan. Earlier, on September 27, 17 activists had been neutralized in Lakki Marwat, while four terrorists of Fitna Al Hindustan had been killed in Mastung. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered during these operations.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the bravery of the troops and severely warned Afghanistan not to allow its soil to be used for militant purposes. “The brains of attacks in Pakistan operate from Afghan soil with Indian support. An appropriate response will follow,” he said.

The ISPR stressed that the Pakistani armed forces remain determined to eradicate the country the terrorism supported by India.
