In total, 78 Pakistani, including 47 students, returned to Pakistan today by the Taftan border, increasing the total number of citizens repatriated to 1,200.
Pakistani nationals, mainly comprising pilgrims, were blocked in Iran due to the current Israeli-Iranian conflict.
According to Express News, in the past two days, 987 pilgrims and students have been brought back safely. Rapatrians have traveled in 37 buses, and many others should come back soon.
Reading sources have confirmed that returnees include traders, students and pilgrims. The current repatriation is managed in Pakistan House, where all the necessary facilities have been provided to those who arrive from Iran.
The administration of Taftan assured that the process was continued smoothly and that others repatriated will be accommodated in the coming days.
In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), in close coordination with Iraki Airways, managed to facilitate the repatriation of 268 Pakistani nationals earlier Monday through two special Bassora flights to Karachi and Islamabad. The two flights arrived safely in Pakistan.
The ministry remains actively engaged with the Iraqi airways and other Iraqi authorities concerned to ensure the safe return and timely the rest of the Pakistani Zaire in Iraq, MOFA said in a statement.
It is advisable to all Pakistani Zaireen in Iraq to stay in close contact with the Pakistan Embassy in Baghdad, designated mandoobs and their respective airlines for timely updates on their travel arrangements, added the press release.
Iraki Airways is currently operating daily flights on the Bassra road in Dubai. On Monday, some Pakistani nationals planned for this option.
Those interested in traveling via this path are encouraged to contact the nearest Iraqi Iraqi office for booking and assistance, said MOFA.
The Zaireen is also advised to stay prepared for short -term trips.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to closely monitor the situation and remains fully determined to facilitate the safe and ordered return of all the Pakistani Zaire, the statement said.
