Lahore:
The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), in coordination with a law enforcement agency, attacked an illegal call center in Faisalabad, arresting 149 people who would have been involved in Ponzi programs.
The NCCIA attacked the call center for Shangla Hill, Shahkot Road. The call center would be held by a former chairman of the board of directors of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO). Up to 149 people – including residents and foreigners – were found working in the illegal establishment, which were arrested on the spot.
Among the workers, 78 are the Pakistanis while 73 are foreigners. Seven cases, ranging from fraud to deception, were recorded against the accused. According to sources, Malik Tahseen Awan is the first suspect in the seven cases, and raids are underway to apprehend it.
