ISLAMABAD:
Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi on Wednesday said that Pakistan’s first safe and smart railway station has been established in Rawalpindi.
“The station is equipped with a 24×7 AI-based surveillance system and 184 modern surveillance cameras, significantly enhancing security and operational surveillance,” he said during a meeting with Defense Secretary Lt. Gen. Muhammad Ali, during which ongoing reforms and development initiatives in Pakistan Railways were discussed.
The minister said a Rail Tag system had been introduced to enable real-time tracking of trains and rolling stock.
