The BISP Punjab DG said that future payments would be disbursed through SIM-linked wallet accounts provided free of charge.

He explained that wallet accounts are opened on these SIM cards and in future, all BISP payments will be made exclusively through these digital wallets, thereby improving transparency and promoting financial inclusion.
He added that the initiative would play a vital role in empowering women and strengthening their economic independence.

The Managing Director categorically informed the women beneficiaries that the SIM cards are absolutely free and no amount of money should be paid to anyone under any circumstances. He emphasized that social protection portfolios are entrusted to women as a responsibility that must be safeguarded with utmost care.
He advised beneficiaries not to share their wallet information, PINs or SIM card details with anyone and ensure the security of their SIM cards at all times. In case of any complaint or issue, the beneficiaries have been advised to immediately contact the nearest BISP Tehsil office or call the BISP helpline at 0800-26477.
Expressing satisfaction with the progress made so far, the DG directed the relevant staff to further expedite the distribution process while maintaining the quality of service. He also directed field staff and service providers to ensure smooth running of operations, effective crowd management and strict adherence to standard operating procedures, reiterating a zero tolerance policy for negligence or misconduct.
