2 Marquette butt players die in a car accident, say the officials

Friday evening, two players from Masculins de Marquette Golden Eagles were killed in a car accident near the main campus of the university in Milwaukee.

The victims were identified as Noah Snyder and Scott Michaud.

“Please keep the parents, the brothers and sisters and the families of Noah and Scott, as well as the athletics and college marquette communities in your prayers,” said Marquette president Kimo Ah Yun, in a press release on social networks. “The life of Noah and Scott was taken too early and we share the sorrow of their teammates, coaches and those who knew them personally.”

Snyder, 20, was a team attacker. The second year student was an Irving Business Administration student, New York. Michaud, 19, was a goalkeeper of the Crosse team. The second year student was a major in biomedical sciences of Springboro, Ohio.

The two men were appointed to the fully academic team of the Big East Conference during their first years at school for having maintained an average of 3.0 GPA.

A 41 -year -old driver collided with another vehicle containing six occupants on Friday evening, Milwaukee police announced. The six occupants of the second vehicle were members of the Crosse team, according to Marquette officials.

Snyder and Michaud were declared dead on the scene. The other four occupants were treated either on the scene or in neighboring hospitals, police said.

The 41 -year -old driver was not immediately identified. The police said that an investigation was underway and that criminal charges were being examined by the Milwaukee County Prosecutor’s Office.
