A ski combination controversy engulfed Norway and led to accusations against five members of the country’s team, including two gold medalists, the sport federation announced on Monday.
Marius Lindvik, Johann Andre Forfang, two coaches and a member of service staff were charged as a “equipment manipulation” investigation at the Nordic world championships in March, said International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS).

Each person has been accused of ethical violations against alleged falsification. Illegally modified combinations can help ski sweaters to fly further with more aerodynamic resistance. Lindvik won a gold medal at the normal male event Hill at the world championships, while Norway won bronze for the men’s team on the big hill.
Both prices are in danger.
The FIS did not give any calendar for hearings or verdicts in the case. The director body said that prohibitions, fines and disqualifications for results are part of the sanctions that may be deducted. The organization said that it had conducted interviews with 38 witnesses and examined 88 evidence in the case.

The head coach of Norway Magnus Brevik and the director of equipment, Adrian Livelten, had previously admitted falsification, saying that the costumes were only modified before the male event.
“We regret it as dogs, and I’m terribly sorry that it happened,” said Brevik in March.
Lindvik and Forfang were both part of the team that won the bronze medal in the world championships. The FIS were both disqualified them from the individual hill event and were suspended. Both denied participation in the alleged regime.
We do not know what will be the statutes of Lindvik and Forfang for the 2026 Olympic Games in Italy.
