Military media says 12 terrorists neutralized in Dara Adam Khel and eight in Shawal
Security forces killed 20 terrorists during two intelligence operations in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, army media said on Monday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations targeted members of Fitna al Khwarij, described as an Indian proxy group, in North Waziristan and Dara Adam Khel districts.
“In the general Shawal area of North Waziristan, security forces carried out an operation following information about the presence of terrorists. During the operation, eight Indian-sponsored ‘Khwarij’ were neutralized,” the ISPR said.
Another IBO took place in the Dara Adam Khel region, where an exchange of fire led to the death of 12 Fitna members. “Our troops effectively attacked the position of the terrorists, resulting in the elimination of 12 ‘Khwarij’,” the statement added.
The ISPR further said that disinfection operations are being carried out in the surrounding areas to ensure complete elimination of any remaining members of Khwarij. “The ongoing anti-terrorism campaign under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam will continue with full force to eradicate the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism in the country,” the statement added.
