Islamabad:
More than 200,000 Afghans have left Pakistan since the government has renewed an expulsion campaign in April.
According to the Interior Ministry, more than 135,000 Afghans left Pakistan in April, while 67,000, left in May and more than 3,000 were returned in the first two days of June.
The number of returnees slowed down before the Eid Al-Adha holidays later this week, but some Afghans still crossed the main border points in Pakistan on Wednesday.
Pakistan is now threatening to raise the protection granted to the 1.3 million Afghans with refugee cards issued by UNHCR at the end of June.
