Scottie Scheffler could not defend his Masters Title to Augusta this year, but the star of the PGA Tour still managed to make the headlines.

As the most recent winner, it was Scheffler’s work to help put McILroy in the coveted green jacket. But fans could not help notify Scheffler’s quick exit as soon as Mcilroy placed his arms in the jacket.

Before the RBC inheritance this week, Scheffler offered an overview of the moment and explained that he was mainly trying to let McILroy have his moment.
“At that time-it was an emotional day for him, I just tried to stay away and, fundamentally, would put the jacket without embarrassing it or myself,” said journalists Scheffler, who also defends his title at the RBC Heritage, to journalists.

“I was able to look at all the celebration, I looked at the finish and it was really cool for me to be able to see because I do not have an understanding of what it is to be questioned about the big career slam, but I have a little understanding of what it is that” hey, you have accomplished this, but you did not accomplish it “and it can be very trying on people sometimes.”

Scheffler said the moment when McILroy won looked like a moment of “relief”.
“It was cool to see that Rory could do the work and certainly from the outside, it looked a little more like relief than anything.”
Scheffler, player n ° 1 in the world and the favorite of the pre-turnroon, pulled a 3-mine of 69 Sunday to finish at 8-mine of 280 for fourth place.

Scheffler is back in Hilton Head in the hope of winning his first victory on the PGA Tour This year. McILroy will not participate – a decision that came well before his victory at Augusta National.
