Rawalpindi:
The security forces across Pakistan have carried out multiple terrorism control operations this week, killing at least 23 terrorists in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balutchistan, while seven soldiers were martyred in a lower dir terrorist attack, officials confirmed.

“From September 9 to 10, nineteen Khwarij belonging to the Indian, Fitna Al Khwarij was sent to hell in three separate commitments to the province of Khyber Pakhtunkh,” the ISPR, the military media wing, said in a press release.
“An intelligence operation [IBO] was led by security forces in the Guluno general area, Mohmand district. During the conduct of the operation, his own troops actually hired the location of Khwarij, and after an intense fire exchange, fourteen khwarij sponsored by the Indians were sent to hell. “”

In a meeting in Bannu, “one more khwarij was neutralized,” he added.
“Weapons and ammunition have also been recovered from Khwarij, killed by the Indians, who has been actively involved in many terrorist activities in these areas. Disinfecture operations are underway to eliminate any other Kharji found in the region,” added the ISPR. He said the security forces were determined to eliminate the threat of terrorism sponsored by the country’s Indians.
Elsewhere in KP, according to official sources, seven members of security personnel were martyred and 13 others injured Thursday after the terrorists launched an attack on security staff in the Sar Banda region in the Lower Dir district.
The fire exchange occurred within the limits of the LAL Qila police station. Although the ban on TTP claimed the responsibility of the attack, it could not be verified independently. After the incident, the heavy contingents of the police, the elite force and the Dir scouts were deployed in the region.
While the security forces continued operations in the region, the lower DIR administration imposed a ban on the use of drones, quadcopters and balloons. Police also said they pushed a terrorist attack on the Lajbok police station late overnight. No victim has been reported in attack.
Meanwhile, the Balutchistan Department of Terrorism (CTD) killed four terrorists during an IBO in the district of Pishin. According to CTD spokesperson, the IBO was launched following an opinion on the presence of terrorists in the region.
“During the meeting, four terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire,” said the spokesman. The officials said the terrorists plotted attacks in the region, but the timely action of the CTD has thwarted their plans. Explosives and weapons have also been recovered from terrorists, they added.
President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated operations to combat terrorism successful by KP’s security forces. In their separate statements, they praised the courage and professionalism of the brave soldiers from Pakistan.
The president stressed that such operations have demonstrated an unshakable determination of Pakistan to face and defeat terrorism sponsored by India. He reaffirmed that Pakistan would continue its efforts determined until the last terrorist and their facilitators were brought to justice.
Prime Minister Shehbaz said war against terrorism would continue until this scourge is completely eradicated from the country. He said that the whole nation was standing in the shoulder with the staff of the armed forces, who were tirelessly committed to thwart the harmful creations of the Khawarij.
In a statement published in Quetta, the chief minister of Balutchistan, Sarfraz Bugti, praised the bravery of the CTD team, saying that timely action had avoided a potential tragedy. The chief minister reaffirmed the determination of his government to eliminate terrorism and extremism of the province.
“The curse of terrorism has no place in our society. We will continue our struggle until peace and complete stability are guaranteed,” said Bugti, adding that the provincial government was standing firmly with the security forces in their mission to safeguard the people of Balutchistan.
