The government has finalized the framework for the 27th constitutional amendment and is expected to get its approval from both houses of Parliament by next week, sources told The Express PK Press Club on Tuesday:
According to the sources, the government has finalized the draft amendment and decided to present it first to the Senate before forwarding it to the National Assembly for approval. The bill is expected to be tabled in the upper house on Friday.
Sources said the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs had already conveyed the decision to the Senate Secretariat.
