280 licensed railway employees

Rawalpindi:

Pakistan railways have closed Pakistan Railways Advisory and Consultancy Service (PRACS), reducing 280 employees in the middle of a serious financial crunch.

This decision sparked a strong reaction from the affected staff, who organized a protest against the decision. They raised slogans against the railway administration, blocked the road and announced its intention to challenge the closure in court.

Railway managers sealed PRAC offices and transferred precious items such as computers, furniture and other large parts. Earlier, 80 employees were dismissed on April 6.
