- DC Studios published a last trailer for Superman

James Gunn Superman The film is officially within a month (at the time of publication, anyway). And, as the countdown towards its release of July 11, DC Studios made its debut for a last trailer for the comic strip film directed by David Corenswet.

The trailer, which also confirms that the tickets are now on sale for one of the most anticipated new films of 2025, do not only contain images that we have seen in the other teasers of the film DC Universe (DCU).
Indeed, there are many new clips that refer to the direction of its plot and contain the EDD comics Easter Egg. So here are four crucial details and / or references to previous superman projects that you may have missed during the first visualization. Follow the spoilers potentiallySo proceed at your own risk.
1. An overview of Mr. Handsome
If your initial reaction to this individual is “… Who?” You are not alone. Mister Handsome is not a character of established DC Comics – in fact, he seems to be a whole new creation for this film by DCU Chapter One.
Okay, so who is he? We don’t really know, but that did not prevent fans in the eyes of the eagle from thinking that they have spotted it SupermanThe last trailer.
Look behind Lex Luthor of Nicholas Hoult in the image above, and you will see what seems to be an individual with pale skin standing on a podium form. Viewers think that this creature of human appearance is the beautiful man aforementioned.
There are other evidence suggesting that this is the case. In the Fat Backstage of Superman, we see another being that is not only like the character SupermanThe final trailer, but also has a visibly different posture and appearance to most humans.
In addition, the peak as part of a recent interview with Fandango, Hoult and Gunn revealed that the son of Hoult, who occasionally visited the Superman Together, had a penchant for Mr. Handsome. Developing who is this character, Gunn has teased: “Mister Handsome is Lex’s creature he created in a Petri box that leads to this flying platform which is the ugliest and most rough creature in the world.”
This does not confirm that the individual with pale skin that we see briefly East Mr. Handsome, but the description of Gunn aligns with the little we have seen. Throw the incredibly ironic name for someone who is not attractive to watch and this has be Monsieur Beau.
2. Ultraman unmasked
There has been a lot of speculation about the real identity of Ultraman. I largely covered the biggest fans theory on this secondary villain, so I will not do it again here. If you want more details on the said hypothesis, read my pieces on the supposed links of Ultraman with another villain called The Hammer of Boravia, my breakdown of Superman The second trailer is the largest theory of ultraman fans apparently confirmed by certain Funko Pop figures.
SupermanThe third trailer does not deliver many new ultraman images, but there are a few labable blows from this mysterious individual without his mask. The first ultraman watch exploding the steel man with his own capacity for heat vision. Later, we see Supes hitting an ultraman removed with a large metal object.
None of the two clips is slow or long enough to give us a good overview of the ultraman’s face. Nevertheless, we know that he will lose his face covering at some point, which suggests that we will discover who he really is. My money is always on him being a superman clone.
3. Reminder “Big Blue” by Green Lantern
At 1:20 from the trailer, we see the Gardner / green lanterns from Nathan Fillion to Kal-el. Obviously, something has happened between the pair and it seems that Gardner tries to advance Supes to attack it. You do not make fun of someone saying “Make a movement, big blue” if you do not try to upset them.
“Big Blue” can look like a form of derision from Gardner, but it is in fact a reminder to one of the oldest nicknames of Superman. Indeed, it is a reference to the nickname “The Big Blue Boy Scout” that Krypton’s son also spent in the 1950s. It is also an alias which was shortened in “Big Blue” in countless other comics.
This therefore seems to be one of the many tributes that will be paid to man of the literary roots of tomorrow in his last adventure on the big screen.
Who is Bébé Joey to Superman?
The great revelation of the final in SupermanThe last trailer concerns a character called Joey. He is the extraterrestrial baby that we see the superpowing alter-ego of Clark Kent, while a form of cosmic explosion bursts around them.
We already know that Joey’s father is too. SupermanThe Funko Pop Funko figurine collection has already ruined this surprise, Joey being the offspring of Metamorpho by Anthony Carrigan. For uninitiated: essentially, it is a metahuman that can create any type of element from thin air.
The theory of dominant fans – a reinforced by images shown in SupermanThe second trailer – Luthor operates Metamorpho to keep Joey safe. And, given the unique Metamorpho powers, it is custom -made to make Kryptonite, alias the only substance of the known galaxy that can harm someone like Superman. It therefore seems that Metamorpho will be forced to create kryptonitis, that Luthor can use against Sups, so Luthor does not hurt Joey.
