An earthquake struck parts in northern Pakistan early Friday morning, trembling houses in several cities and cities; However, there was no immediate report of damage or victims of one of the areas struck by the earthquake.

According to seismic surveillance centers, the earthquake had an amplitude of 5.5 and is from the Hindu region of Kush in Afghanistan at a depth of 114 kilometers.

Trendments have been felt in the districts of Peshawar and neighbors, notably Swat, Malakand, Dir, Mardan, Haripur and Abbottabad.

The National Center for Seismic Surveillance (NSMC) of the Pakistan Meteorological Department in Islamabad said that the tremors had been recorded at 2 h 03.

The residents of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Azad Cashmire, Charsadda and Karak also declared to feel the earthquake.

According to reports, the Jolts were noticeable in various localities in the Federal capital, and the authorities continue to monitor the situation.

Meanwhile, heavy rains hit parties of Islamabad, and Murrier has seen showers accompanied by thunder and lightning, adding to the night weather in the region.

Trendments have also been reported in Gujranwala and the surrounding area, as well as in several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to a spokesperson for the provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), the emergency operations center is in contact with all KP district administrations.

The PDMA advised citizens to call the assistance line 1700 in an emergency.
