If you watched the Keynote Worldwide Developers Conference Video of Apple (WWDC 2025) earlier this week, you may have noticed all the new features from Apple music and carplay offers.
Whether you liked using your Apple Tech with your favorite songs or driving, there were notable updates to be careful. Here we have described five of the best features to come in these areas in iOS 26.
Mix the air like a pro
Everything Bon DJ knows how to mix one song in another, ensuring that the beats are aligned and a track fades in another in a manner so transparent that it is almost imperceptible. In iOS 26, Apple Music can now do it for you.
It is thanks to a new feature called Automix, and he uses an intelligent analysis under the hood to choose the “perfect moment” so that your songs are transmitted, gently mixing the music at the end of a song and that the next begins. Automix replaces Crossfade (which has done a similar thing, although in a much less advanced way), and can be activated when you open Apple Music in iOS 26.
Apple Music Replay
As spotify wrapped, Apple Music Replay allows you to consult your listening habits and see exactly how many hours you spent listening to this guilty pleasure. Before iOS 26, however, it could only be accessible as a contextual web view, which did not provide the best experience.
Now, this is a native part of the Apple Music application, which means that it is much easier to find and displayed than before. You will also find an Apple Music rereading playlist at the bottom of the Home tab of the application, and this update throughout the year to give you the latest statistics and figures.
Personalized ringtones
Apple has a dedicated ringing section in iTunes – simply press the More tab in the iTunes Store app on iOS, then select tones. But if you prefer to create your own personalized ringtones, the process has always been a little more involved, forcing you to create your own ringtone, to export it from the garageband application to your phone, then choose it manually in the Settings application.
In iOS 26, this process was simplified. If you open a ringtone in an application like files, simply press the Share button and choose the Use option as a ringtone. This can cut a few steps, although you always have to create the ringtone in the first place.
Carplay consists in putting useful controls at hand, all in order not to distract yourself from the road. This fine balancing act has had a new update in iOS 26 with the addition of widgets and live activities.
Widgets such as weather forecasts and your calendar appointments are now available in your car, and they use a compact provision which, according to Apple, offers “fast and glancable” information. And you will also find live activities in Carplay, showing in progress data such as flight status, helping you keep you informed.
Carplay zoom settings

It is always important that Carplay information is appropriate for the dashboard of your car, and it was a little easier in iOS 26 with the addition of Smart Display Zoom. This automatically resumes the Carplay interface to adapt to the display area of your vehicle (if possible).
In an example given by Apple, Smart Display Zoom slightly narrows the icons to the screen, which allows an additional line of buttons. With less scanning, you should be able to access the information you need a little faster.
