Some of the best Max shows were presented at Warner Bros. Discovery Upfronts 2025, alongside what comes from the studios and networks of the media giant.
There has been a lot of new information at all levels, with news on WBD streaming and broadcasting platforms while the company’s Bigwigs are on stage.
With thick and fast announcements, the big news can be easy to miss, but here we decompose the five most intriguing news of the day, showcases Westeros returns, confusing rebrans, new streaming services and more.
1. Superman gets a whole new trailer
To watch
Top of the Bill is Steel’s man himself with a brand new trailer-which you can watch above-for the next Superman.
Featuring David Corenswet as suples, Rachel Brosnahan like Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult like Lex Luthor, the new film is an entirely new vision of the Big Blue Boy Scout,, Although with all the multi-life shenanigans that recently occur in superhero cinema, we do not exclude a link with the supposedly dead DCEU.
The last trailer presents a large part of what we have seen before, including the fortress of loneliness and the beginnings on the big screen of super-caïine Krypto and highlights the themes that Gunn seems to play with the status of Kal-El as immigrant and vigilant.
Gunn has absolutely nailed each superhero story to which he has turned his hand so far, and I will be there when a new Dawn breaks on DC’s cinematographic offers on July 11.
2. A knight of the seven kingdoms pushed until 2026
This is bad news for fans of Ice and fire song saga like A knight of the seven kingdoms At his release window moved in 2026.
Based on George RR Martin The knight of the hedge Novella, The New Show follows the adventures of Ser Duncan Le Tall (Peter Claffey) and S Egg Squire (Dexter Sol Ansell) as they travel on the fictitious earth between time between Game of Thrones And Dragon House.
He was largely expected to land this year, the third Westeros-Set show will arrive in “winter” 2026, which leaves us sweet summer children hoping that winter will arrive as soon as possible.
3. The high -value TNT target leads the network of network television
WBD also announced a multitude of programs due to land on their networks during the coming year, including High -value targetformerly known as President’s debriefing.
The series, based on John Nixon’s book detailing Saddam Hussein’s interrogation, features Joel Kinnaman in the role of Nixon, a CIA analyst who became the first American to positively identify the dictator following his capture.
Other new shows that are tinked on the forehead included Guy Flavortown Games Hosted by Guy Fieri, HGTV Renovate the single mansion and Discovery’s Whatl entitled Shark Week Special Dance with sharks. Murder They know what they did The winks to the Slasher franchise of the narrator Jennifer Love Hewitt, while TLC 90 days The franchise continues to develop with 90 days: Hunting for love.
Return programs include Rick and Morty,, Harry Potter: Cooking wizards And My adventures with Supermanwhile Max struck The Pitt will receive a linear broadcast on TNT before its second season.
4. Max is returned to HBO Max
Perhaps the most surprising news of the upfronts may have been the announcement that the WBD flagship streaming service would be to add the HBO nickname to its name.
The streamer initially went by HBO Max when it was launched in 2020, a merchant on the reputation that HBO had because the house for the best American TV had to offer. In 2023, WBD dropped the prefix, rename the streamer in Simply, Max, moving away from the accent put on the prestigious television and introducing a more varied programming, even going so far as to delete some of the greatest successes of HBO, such as Westworldof his library.
But now, these three letters are due to a return, the service being known again as the HBO Max after a revival of this summer. Apparently realizing that a quality approach on the quantity could be the way to follow, WBD said: “No consumer today means more content, but most consumers say they want better content.” This seems to imply a change for WBD, with the reading of HBO to the name involving a refocusing on the type of prestige television which made the network could affirm boldly “it is not television. It’s HBO” in the first place.
5. CNN unveils a new streaming service
After the CNN + badly intended, the information network enters the world of streaming with a brand new service that will arrive in the fall.
After a first launch in the United States, the platform will be available worldwide with CEO Mark Thompson calls it “the first real new streaming service”. The streamer will also bring together CNN.com, which recently went behind a payment wall, and will include live channels, news flows and exclusive programming.
Current cable and satellite subscribers will be able to access the service at no additional cost, and CNN will continue at least at least to have a presence on Max after its brand change.
