Pakistan has taken a significant step towards the introduction of 5G services, with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) announcing that the 5G spectrum auction will take place on March 10.
According to a PTA spokesperson, the decision to proceed with the spectrum auction on March 10 follows extensive consultations with all relevant stakeholders, aimed at ensuring a transparent, competitive and inclusive process.
The spokesperson said the final and approved schedule was carefully designed to give telecom operators and potential bidders sufficient time to complete preparations.
