65% of vacant permanent teaching positions

About 65% of permanent positions of Punjab schoolchildren are vacant.

Articles include thousands of people in 17 to 20th year, including a large number of school heads and director as well as senior teachers.

An official said that the percentage of permanent vacant posts had increased to 65 due to the timely lack of promotion of teachers in service.

The lists of permanent vacant messages include those of scientific and computer teachers, as well as school heads who have crucial administrative responsibilities in their schools.

Teachers ‘unions have also raised the issue in their demonstrations in recent months, demanding teachers’ appointment permanently. They said that the unavailability of permanent officials had affected academic activities. The teachers demanded that the provincial government fills permanent vacant posts before the conclusion of current summer vaccinations.

A senior official of the Department of School Education said that the reason for the positions that were vacant was that the government had not promoted teachers. The manager said that the percentage of permanent vacant posts in public schools was more than 65%.

The secretary general of the Punjab teachers’ union, Rana Liaqat Ali, said that there was a disappointment among teachers because they were not promoted and appointed permanently, which was their right.

He said timely promotions were important to help increase the education standard.

He said the government should immediately fulfill the vacant permanent posts.

He said that a large number of teachers had withdrawn while waiting for promotional announcements that many others should retire in the coming months in all districts.
