It’s time to return to the Wasteland, Vaulties. To fall Season 2 has finally emerged from its underground bunker on Prime Video, and just like its forebear, its premiere has already set the stage for another hard-hitting installment of the hugely popular series.
Bringing us together with Lucy, Maximus, The Ghoul and Dogmeat, the To fall The second season of the TV show will further explore the franchise’s wacky and dangerous dystopia.
Indeed, from the introduction of characters like Mr. House, trips to iconic locations like New Vegas and Novac, and much more, season 2 of Amazon’s adaptation of the To fall The video game series looks to be another must-watch slice of television. Emily in Paris season 5 (Netflix)
Look on it
Do Emilie in Paris does season 5 truly live up to its namesake, or are we about to premiere season 1 of Emily in Rome?
The main character of Lily Collins took root in the Italian capital, heading the Italian division of the Grateau Agency. However, that doesn’t mean she’s safe from drama, as her budding relationship with Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini) isn’t the fairy tale ending she was hoping for, and representing her family brand Muratori is like jumping through endless PR hurdles.
Frankly, I’m happy with the change of scenery, and Marcello too. We definitely haven’t seen the last of Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), but I really want this Italian escapade to go well. – Jasmine Valentine, entertainment journalist
One Battle After Another (HBO Max)
Look on it
Sometimes sitting down to watch a 142-minute movie is a shock to the system, but sometimes it’s worth the effort. Awards season alone will tell you One battle after another which is now available on HBO Max, is one of the few not to be missed, with director Paul Thomas Anderson’s dark comedy taking the industry by storm.
Leonardo DiCaprio plays Bob, a former revolutionary who is now fueled solely by paranoia. When his daughter Willa (Chase Infiniti) goes missing, Bob must confront his tainted past to get her back.
Strong, quirky and extreme in every sense of the word, One battle after another is truly one of the best films of this year. He even manages to make the dissection of the ongoing culture wars feel fresh, but that’s just a day in the life of Anderson. – Joint venture
Him (Peacock)
Look on it
Jordan Peele is back with a divisive new film Him (to be honest, he only produced it!). Considering that he had successes with To go out And Wethis film’s 30% Rotten Tomatoes score might shock you. Still, if you’ve been meaning to watch it, it’s now available on Peacock.
Him follows a rising football star as he is invited to train at the secluded compound of a legendary quarterback. There, he discovers a cult world of obsession and sacrifice.
This seems like a novel concept, but it’s up to you to judge whether or not it misses the proverbial bullet. – Lucy Buglas, senior entertainment editor
Counting Crows: Have you seen me lately? (HBO Max)
Music fans, listen up. Counting Crows: Have you seen me lately? does exactly what it says on the tin, charting the rise to power of the synonymous group. HBO says this will be one of the most intimate behind-the-scenes performances we’ve ever seen and I think we can see that in the trailer.
Indeed, we will be treated to interviews with current and former members of the group, as well as contemporary musicians, as well as rare archive footage and personal photographs. Personally, I can’t wait to learn more about the history of their hit “Mr”. Jones.
There’s a mix of personal and professional battles throughout their story, and I think this could be one of the streaming service’s most powerful music documentaries to date. – Joint venture
Kumail Nanjiani: Night Thoughts (Hulu/Disney+)
Look on it
After a long week, an hour of stand-up comedy is just what the doctor ordered. If you want to turn off and laugh at Kumail Nanjiani’s storytelling prowess, then I have the perfect choice for you after its debut on Hulu and Disney+.
Nanjiani returns to Chicago after a decade of absence, a city close to his heart since it’s where he got his start in stand-up. You may be familiar with his work on Silicon Valley, The seriously ill, Eternalsand various other movies and shows, and he’s just entertaining when it’s just him and a microphone.
Here he discusses topics such as anxiety, the dangers of purchasing drugs before legalization and, finally, medication for cats. You know, as you do. – kg
