PM Shehbaz to attend “SCO Heads of State Summit” in China

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will undertake a visit to China from August 30 to September 4 to attend the 25th Shanghai Cooperation Organization Board (SCO) Summit of Heads of State in Tianjin.

According to a statement published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Prime Minister will hold meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Qiang to discuss various aspects of bilateral cooperation.

He will also attend a military parade in Beijing, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the anti-fascist war in the world, alongside President XI and other world leaders.

The Prime Minister should also interact with the main businessmen and Chinese leaders to improve trade, investment and economic ties, and attack the B2B Pakistani-Chine investment conference in Beijing.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the visit was part of high -level exchanges aimed at deepening the “strategic cooperative partnership of all time”, advancing the second phase of CPEC and maintaining regular communication on the main regional and global problems.

The 25th major three -day meeting of SCO heads of state is scheduled for August 31, September 1 and 2.

The summit of this year will be the most important since the creation of the SCO in 2001, said last week an official of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, calling the “important force to build a new type of international relations”.

Among the participants of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization of the Cooperation Organization (SCO), which will take place in the northern port city of Tianjin from August 31 to September 1, will be the Russian president Vladimir Putin, the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alongside the leaders of Central Asia, the Middle East, South South Asia and Southeast Asia.

The theme of this year’s meeting will be: “Strengthen Shanghai’s mind: SCO in movement”. The annual event is likely to focus on key discussions on regional security, economic cooperation, trade and long -term strategic orientation of the OSSE and the way.

The security -oriented block, which began as a group of six Eurasian countries, extended to 10 permanent members and 16 countries of dialogue and observers in recent years. His mandate is also extended from security and counter-terrorism to economic and military cooperation.
