- Capcom has announced that it will no longer guarantee the stability of Monster Hunter games after October 14
- This is the result of the end of life of Windows 10, because Microsoft focuses on Windows 11
- It could let other developers and game publishers do the same thing and lead users to other operating systems
Windows 10 of Microsoft only only had the days before its inevitable disappearance, with security updates ending on October 14, and despite the gesture of a free free support for users in Europe, this will probably not stop the impact that the abandonment of the operating system will have on games.
As indicated by Tweaktown, Capcom has announced that it could no longer “guarantee” the stability of the game for Windows 10 users Monster Hunter: World,, Monster Hunter: Wilds,, Or Monster Hunter: RiseOnce Microsoft finishes the support starting on October 14. This would probably be due to the future system updates or updates to the game title, where Capcom will not provide corrections in the event of incompatibility.
It is not clear if Capcom will also leave the Windows 10 support for its other titles, as Street Fighter 6 And the next Resident Evil Requiem,, Especially with the first frequent updates and new DLCs, but it would not be surprising that the same case applies (at least later in the line).
This essentially leaves players who do not like Windows 11 to install an alternative like Tiny11, which is a Bloatware version of Windows 11, go to Valve’s Steamos or make the dreaded passage to Windows 11.
The gaming support is abandoned by CAPCOM, potentially alongside other game developers and publishers, should not have an impact on those that are incompatible with Windows 11, because games (at least with more modern demands) on these systems would be difficult with older equipment to start – but it also serves as a wake -up call for an increase in equipment for many users.
Analysis: sorry not sorry, but steamos of valve seems more attractive every day
It is already a daring movement of Microsoft to separate from Windows 10, because there are still many users on the operating system, but its impact on the game seems to spread wider than expected. In this case, Steamos de Valve looks like a stronger option for players who categorically remain far from Windows 11.
I am not here to regurgitate why I prefer Steamos again to Windows 11, but the simple fact is that the performance of the game is better on the operating system based on Linux, and I have no doubt that there will be thus for a certain time, even after the planned implementation of “the complete experience of the Microsoft screen for desktop PCs.
Fortunately, I do not have the urgent need to go to Steamos because Windows 11 is stable enough for my office game PC, but once the improvements are made to NVIDIA GPUs and applications as Discord, I will make the change in a heart rate.
That being said, if you use an AMD GPU and you don’t want to go to Windows 11, I would say that you would better jump to Linux. Steamos is designed to offer a simple game experience similar to a console, and more importantly, in this case, you will not encounter problems of loss of stability of the game due to the abandonment developers.
