- Nothing bone 4.0 has now entered open beta version
- The Nothing 3a and 3a Pro phone cannot yet get it

After its announcement a few weeks ago, nothing bones 4.0 – which has nothing to do on Android 16 – has now landed in open beta, so if you have one of the four phones nothing, you can download it as you wish (it is not yet available for each handset).
Currently, the open beta version Nothing OS 4.0 is available for the Nothing 3 phone, the Nothing Phone 2, the Nothing Phone 2A and the Nothing Phone 2A Plus. This does not leave the phone 3A and the Nothing Phone 3a Pro Out, which is strange because they are more recent than some of these handsets, but nothing said that the beta version would come to these phones in October.
Assuming you can get the beta version, the real features you get will also vary depending on your phone.
With the Nothing Phone 3, you will have access to a “AI user board”, which offers greater transparency on what AI does and how it uses your data. You will also get various bug corrections and performance improvements, including improved camera stability.
If you use a NOTHING 2 phone, a Nothing 2A phone or a NOTHING 2A PLUS phone, then you will get the preset of the “ stretch ” camera, which adds rich shadows and prolonged reflections to the photos. You will also get application optimizations at the system level to improve start -up speeds.
Updates for everyone
Then, there are features that apparently appear on all phones in the beta version, including the contextual view for two floating icons (so that you can switch between applications faster), two new locking screen clock clocks, 2×2 quick parameter tiles and an additional mode.
Curiously, you can also create widgets using the AI, with the Nothing 3 phone, taking care of up to six of these widgets, while other models can have up to two running at the same time.
To enter the beta version, download the beta hub from updates to your phone, then install it from your download folder. Once finished, you can go to the settings> System> nothing beta hub and press “Join the beta”. Once you have registered, just press “Go to the update”.
Of course, the same warnings apply here to all beta – this software is unfinished and may not be stable, so if you are not in a hurry to try the new additions, you can always wait for the finished version.
