- “The conversational data is the gold of the agency era”, explains Salesforce
- New upgrades allow Slack to use your unstructured conversations
- Salesforce also uses Anthropic’s MCP server
Few companies have also publicly gone “all-in” on AI as well as Salesforce, and the company now hopes that the use of agentic AI in its Slack online collaboration platform will help compete with Microsoft teams new ways.
The company has explained that if AI agents are based on a solid data foundation, they prosper in an additional context, which they lacked to a certain extent so far.
“The conversational data is the gold of the agency era, but it was locked in unstructured messages and cats, largely out of reach for employees, not to mention the applications,” said Salesforce.
Slack’s agentic AI obtains a huge boost
Salesforce adds a new real -time research API (RTS), a model context protocol server (MCP) and improved development tools to relax to help it go from the supply of generic responses to the production of more relevant and precise responses.
The API RTS unlocks unstructured conversational data in Slack via discussions, files and channels, so that AI tools can interact with customer data without having to formalize it in a structured export and store them safely elsewhere.
With the MCP server (an open standard of anthropic), Salesforce is also to standardize and simplify integrations on several business systems for an improvement in interoperability.
For developers, an updated CA improves the process of creating the application / AI agent.
“By creating applications powered directly in Slack, developers and partners help organizations unifying their technological battery – making Slack 2% of your computer budget which maximizes the remaining 98% yield,” wrote Salesforce.
With upgrades, companies can unlock the unstructured data they have had for additional information, which has led to faster decision -making (37% faster team information and 36% customer responses) and stimulated productivity (37% of income growth per employee).
