During the hearing today, the former legislator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, Shahid Jamil, deplored that objections were raised on their plea and urged the court to decide the appeal of the chamber filed on the issue.
The court, after deliberation, issued directives to award a number to the petition for hearing.
Meanwhile, former chief judge Jawwad, Khawaja’s lawyer Khawaja Ahmed, argued that the arguments on the issue of a bench in the complete court should be broadcast live so that the public can be aware of the issue.
To this, judge Amin-Ud-Din said that the question of the bench did not concern the public but that it is limited to the court.
Responding to the lawyer’s argument to resolve the question of live broadcast first, instead of the constitution of the bench, judge Jamal Khan Mandokhail said that the court wanted to educate people via live streaming, but that he did not end up being exposed.
When asked by judge Malik to him on the position on the live streaming of the case, the additional prosecutor Amir Rehman said that the case was administrative.
The court, after hearing the arguments, approved the streaming live from the case and postponed the case until 11:30 am tomorrow (Wednesday).
