- TCL revealed three new smart glasses at CES 2025
- Two of them have AR capabilities, the other is for AI and video capture.

As someone who has tested many smart glasses, I know first-hand how much variety there is in this tech sector – although they are under the same umbrella, there are just as many similarities between the Halliday specs, Ray-Ban Meta, Xreal glasses. One Pro AR glasses, as is the case between electric cars, bicycles and scooters as “electric vehicles” – so companies usually focus on one type at a time. TCL isn’t afraid to approach smart glasses from all angles, however, announcing three very different smart specs at CES to suit every type of smart glasses wearer.
The most impressive is the RayNeo X3 Pro. It has the same Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chipset as Ray-Ban specs, but goes a bit further than its rival in other areas. The goals.
This lets you see apps and notifications in your field of vision, and in my demo I was able to see how the RayNeo X3 Pros could help me on my next trip thanks to their real-time translation. My demo with them was short but they seriously impressed me and put the standard specs of the Ray-Ban Meta to shame a little.
However, if you want a simplified, no-display approach, you’ll look for the RayNeo V3. They remove screens but are equipped with a 12 MP Sony IMX681 sensor to facilitate first-person content capture and voice-guided information, which is relayed through in-device speakers and three built-in microphones.
What’s most impressive is how thin these glasses are – significantly thinner than Meta’s Ray-Bans – and how light they are – just 39g. I’d love to try wearing them for a whole day to check my suspicions, but they might be the best smart glasses in terms of comfort while still having useful tools.
Finally, you have the entertainment-focused RayNeo Air 3 specs. Like other similar AR smart glasses, you connect them to a compatible USB-C device via a cable to make the device’s screen appear as a huge floating window in front of you – a 201-inch virtual screen to be precise.
With built-in speakers to boot, these specs are an upgrade over the previous RayNeo Air smart specs that give you an ideal portable home theater setup to power through your travels. I would like to test them more, but if I could I would have never left the demo and spent all day playing Mario Odyssey with them.
We’re still waiting on pricing details for all of these glasses in the RayNeo CES 2025 lineup, but TCL says they’ll be revealed closer to their respective launches. The X3 Pro and Air 3 will first be released “mid-2025” and the V3 will arrive “later in the year”.
