- I interviewed two developers of Assassin’s Creed Shadows and asked them what they were waiting for fans to experience.
- A developer focused on recruitment in the game
- Another highlighted the new way Shadows tells his story
Enthusiasm for The shadows of Assassin’s Creed develops as we head towards the release date of the game, March 20.
I recently visited Ubisoft Québec to familiarize myself with the game and have a backstage of development. During my visit, I spoke to the main developers and I questioned them about their favorite elements of the game that we had not talked about a lot so far, but which were very enthusiastic to see for fans.
I first spoke to the associate director of the game, Simon Lemay-Comtois, who identified something on the people you will discover in the world of The shadows of Assassin’s Creed.
“I think that the allies you can recruit, like their individual stories and personalities, and the actors who play some of them, are the coolest part that we have not yet completely revealed.”
This concerns the group of additional characters in which you can collect Shadows Who elect home in the hideout zone of the game after having met them.
The director of the game, Charles Benoit, then turned to the story when I asked him the same question, saying that the most exciting thing that we have not yet seen is “the way the stories take place” .
“I think players will really appreciate the structure of the story”, referring to the use in the Flashbacks game for the two characters in order to understand their story, as well as the double perspective on the world and the narration in general.
“So you have a mixture of exploration and discovery of the open world, then leave [and seeing] past events of their lives. And I think the way it is structured is rather cool and quite different from the others Assassin’s Creed Games, so I can’t wait to see what people will think about it. ”
The story is something that I really want to learn more about myself. Even after several practical hours with the game and after having experienced many interesting intrigues and hooks, I still don’t know what’s going on in the game.
