Surfshark extended the management of its bridging function to the VPN MacOS application.
Surfshark bypass is a practical feature that allows you to choose specific websites and applications to redirect outside the VPN connection.
Already available on Windows, Android, iOS and Extension Browser, Surfshark has become one of the few best VPN services to offer this feature for Mac users.
Why use the surfhark bridging?

Surfshark bypass allows you to divide internet traffic into two paths – one to pass via the encrypted VPN connection, and the other directly on the Internet via your real IP address.
As Pukys explains, the use of puncture is particularly beneficial to access local services or content that can block VPNs while maintaining protection for other activities.
“With the recent addition of the macOS support, Surfshark has expanded its service package to offer this functionality on all the main platforms,” said Pukys.
Surfshark bypass has been available for some time on Windows, Android, iOS and browser extensions. Mac users had to wait to benefit from this functionality because Apple deleted the management of the functionality in 2021.
In February 2024, Private Internet Access (PIA) was the first supplier to reduce divided tunnels to its VPN MacOS application. The other choices of Techradar – namely NordVPN, ExpressVPN and Protonvpn – are among the services which are still lacking in support of this functionality on their Mac VPN at the time of writing.
How to use the surfhark container
The use of the surfhark on macOS container promises to be very easy too.
All you have to do is open the VPN application and click Parameters on the left panel. Then press VPN settings And Bridging. Once there, you can start adding websites or applications that you want to exclude from the VPN connection.
