KP Mountain Districts to obtain construction codes

Given the fragility of the growing environment, unregulated construction and the critical development need for the province of the province, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Ali Amin Gandapur, has carried out a working group to propose directives to correctly regulate construction in the mountainous fields in the mountain fields of the province.

The Secretariat of the Chief has published an official letter to the additional secretary -in -chief, planning and development of constituting and leading a working group with members of the administrative secretaries concerned, heads of the entities concerned and experts in the field.

The letter suggests studying and recommending the adaptation and institutionalization of “mountain architecture directives” – research work written by a Dr Zahra Hussain for the implementation in KP.

The letter emphasizes that the above -mentioned pioneering work has an architectural approach contextually based on climate and culture and culture adapted to the mountainous regions of Pakistan, developed by in -depth community commitment, academic research and technical validation.

He adds that the guidelines offer practical strategies on the durable constructed form, passive solar design, the conservation of the cultural landscape, the use of materials, the management of visitors and integration with local economies and ecosystems; And is considered a guiding framework master for the harmonization of environmental stewardship, tourist infrastructure and vernacular wisdom.

The letter also suggests that the deliberate working group on the way in which the proposed principles of the aforementioned research work could be personalized, adapted, institutionalized and legally adopted for mountainous KP districts in accordance with provincial laws, planning frameworks and operational realities.

As per the terms of Reference Outlined in the letter, the working group shall review and customize the mountain architecture guidelines in accordance with the climatic, cultural, and architectural realities of the province, formulate a legal and regulatory integration plan include requirement amendments to the rale and regulations, Mechanisms for Approval, Monitoring and Enforcement Through Local Authorities, Recommend Phased Rollout Strategies, and Develop A Liaison with National and International Development Partners for technical and financial support.

The working group was responsible for submitting its complete recommendations and its implementation plan proposed within sixty days to the Minister of Chief.

On Friday, the chief minister, as a major initiative aimed at promoting mountain agriculture in the province, had decided to formulate a policy dedicated to mountain agriculture.

The Secretariat of the Chief Minister officially sent an official letter, as well as a conceptual document, to the Department of Agriculture with a management to finalize the project of “Mountain Agriculture Policy KP” on the basis of the conceptual document, and present it to the competent forum for approval within 45 days.
