“One thing I will say is that I think I am humble in victory,” said Antetokounmpo in a three -minute answer to a journalist’s question in the matter. “That’s how I’m. There are probably a lot of people like:” No, when you win the game, you have to speak S —. It’s a green light for you to be disrespectful towards someone else. “I don’t agree.
“Losing a match, the emotions are raised, having a fan – which, for the moment, I thought he was a fan, but I realized that it was Tyrese’s father. I love Tyrese, I think he is a great competitor. Antetokounmpo also mentioned his late father, Charles, who, according to him, taught him humility.
“My father came to the family room and was the most respectful person of all time,” said Antetokounmpo. “When you come from nothing and work all your life to sell things on the street and all your life, you are afraid of the police who expel you and send you back to your country and you have to protect your children, you create this mentality to be humiliating all your life, so as not to have a lack of respect, so as not to make the emotions high so that someone can delimit you or say something bad.”
The young Haliburton was also asked about his father’s actions after the match, and he is on the side of Antetokounmpo of the argument.
“I do not agree with what happened there. I think basketball is basketball and keep it on the field. I think he is just excited that his son had the winner of the game, came on the field. We had a conversation and I think he should just allow me to play basketball, to stay there. I come to celebrate.
