- Nvidia has published another GeForce Hotfix driver to solve several problems
- The new Hotfix 576.26 driver comes just after Hotfix Driver 576.15
- The problems of black screens and bsods remain
The GPU launch of the NVIDIA RTX 5000 series apparently triggered a driving problem dam, with black screen reports and cases of the dreaded blue screen (BSOD) from the first Ready Driver 572.16 game for RTX 5090 and RTX 5080. Unfortunately, six drivers later, similar problems remain.
Nvidia has now published a new GeForce Hotfix Driver 576.26, available on its assistance page, which includes fixes for several games and accident problems. His arrival occurs almost immediately after a previous hotfix (576.15) for the main game pilot Ready 576.02, which was published to approach a major temperature sensor bug and other display huts.
However, users always express complaints about problems such as black screens when installing new drivers. In some cases, this prevents users from accessing the Windows connection screen; Instead, they met a loading cursor and a black screen. Many likely PC players went to Reddit to express their concerns, as you can see:

It is clear that Team Green works hard to solve these problems, and the consecutive versions in Hotfix are an indication. However, this is not exactly a good look with regard to consumers – in particular those looking to obtain a new RTX 5000 series GPU (such as the RTX 5060 Ti or the next RTX 5060), because new ready -to -use drivers are often specifically published to take care of newer GPUs.
Although the pilots released since 572.16 were stable for certain users, this is not the case for everyone. NVIDIA, the owners of the RTX 5000 series, are currently informed by NVIDIA to install drivers 572.xx who add an official management of their features, so returning it to older pilots is not really possible for users with these GPUs. I am currently reviewing a laptop in the RTX 5000 series, and I had the chance not to feel any problem, but to judge by the comments of Reddit above, many were not as lucky.
I stayed with Game Ready Driver 572.47 for months, and I don’t regret it
To put it simply, it’s the worst Series of Liberation Problems of the GPU pilot that I have seen, because users have reported problems for months. I understand that Team Green is working hard to solve these problems, and I applaud, but the players spending their money hard on the GPUs will not be satisfied at all.
I was lucky to dodge the ball of recent complications linked to the driver. As I pointed out previously, trying to install a new pilot left me a black screen, forcing a restart, which then left me stuck on another black screen with a loading cursor.
I first thought that this was caused by the problematic update of Windows 11 24H2, so my solution was to start Windows in recovery mode and uninstall the last quality update, which finally allowed me to return to my system. It was not until later, when I realized that other Nvidia GPU users reported the same problems, that I returned to driver 572.47 – and I have been free from major problems since.
There is nothing more than I can suggest other than finding a stable pilot for your system and avoiding a new version until there is an absolute certainty that these hiccups have been resolved. Hopefully time is coming soon …
