There is no shortage of cryptographic projects that have been presented as the thing on the next billion web3 users, but Moonwalk Fitness has a slightly different approach – well -being.
Fitness’s responsibility application, launched for iOS and Android earlier this year, mainly offers users a way to bet if they will reach their fitness objectives – for the moment, it is daily steps, but the director of the Moonwalk fitness of Caitlin Cook Cook – speaking with Coindesk before the 2025 consensus in Toronto – Types of fitness challenges in the application and metrics and metrics beyond the stages counting.
In its current form, Moonwalk Fitness presents to users a variety of games from which choose, varying in duration, passing by step and membership prices. Users must pay fees (in USDC, Bonk or Sol) to reach the game. If they reach their daily steps, they recover all their money – as well as the opportunity to divide a Cagneée, created from user deposits who have not achieved their objectives. In this way, Moonwalk Fitness offers users a carrot – the potential to earn money – and a stick – the potential to lose money – in their fitness trips.

Cook said that users around the world find their way to Moonwalk Fitness, adding that it was particularly optimistic in markets like Southeast Asia and Africa. Because users can create their own games, setting their own membership prices, there is no financial obstacle to the entry.
“What is enough for someone to really perform the action is different depending on where you are,” said Cook. “So we have games where [the buy-in] is a very small amount of Bonk, where it may be a few dollars in USDC, and people eat it, “said Cook.” Because instead of the guardian, where it is like: “Oh, you need an amount of money to join, we open it to everyone.”
The four largest markets in the project are currently France, the United States, Nigeria and Vietnam, said Cook.
“I think that many crypto manufacturers generally tend to focus on the same markets where it is like the wealthiest people who can deploy capital,” said Cook. “If you have working legs, you can use this product. The total addressable market is quite important. ”
Seeing the growing adoption of the Moonwalk fitness in the world was exciting, said Cook.
“Opening our twitter every day is incredible, because it is like, I will see a group of Venezuelan grandmothers walking together, posing for a photo, which is so cool,” she said. “We just asked people to meet in Türkiye that we did not organize. It was like a group thing where they decided to go out and walk. The appeal is very wide. ”
Even for people who are already active, Cook said that the ability to earn money from something they are already making the fitness Moonwalk attractive.
“We see that in Nigeria, for example, they walk so much, and they say to themselves:” Oh, my God, I can earn money with something that I already do. And it’s like, yes, you can.
