Spotify has announced a new partnership with United Airlines which aims to improve your flight experience by giving you access to free content on board. Now passengers will be able to broadcast more than 450 hours Reading lists, podcasts and audio books organized on Spotify for free on more than 130,000 seat file screens.
Spotify is already available on flight entertainment systems of several other airlines, including Emirates, Delta Airlines and Virgin America – although they do not offer video podcasts.
In Spotify’s blog, the streaming platform said that this collaboration “marks the first time [we’ve] Offered audio books and video podcasts aboard an airline ‘. Passengers will have access to a selection of titles, including popular programs, Good Hang with Amy Poehler, Dave Chang Show and the comments section with Drew Afialo.
But that’s not all. This new partnership will also allow travelers to disseminate planes equipped with Starlink Diffuse Spotify on their personal devices between the doors – without interruptions and free.
The only requirement is that you connect to your MileagePlus account, the United Flyy program of United and that you accept the terms and conditions. From there, you can broadcast content in Spotify as usual on the Starlink network.
Following these announcements, the CEO of Mileageplus, Richard Nunn, comment on the collaboration: “Spotify has a huge audience and people love their content. And now our customers can appreciate everything in a simple and easy way, at 35,000 feet ”.

Regarding United’s new collaboration with one of the best music streaming services, this is only the start of their growing relationship and in 2026, users will be able to have more freedom with the Spotify in flight they choose to disseminate.
Next year, passengers will be able to use their personal devices to connect to the Spotify application in the United Entessation Entertainment System to display their account on the folder screen. The objective is to allow united passengers with a Spotify premium to access and take advantage of their own personal content beyond what is already available for free on the United System.
