The meta-PDG, Mark Zuckerberg, confirmed plans to build several clusters of AI Multi-Gigawatt AI data centers to supply the growing and insatiable demand for artificial intelligence, with the first cluster, Prometheus, which should go online in 2026.
Another cluster, Hyperion, will soon follow, with Meta plans to develop it up to 5 gigawatts in several years.
More so-called Titan clusters are also in preparation, Zuckerberg sharing a visualization in an article on Facebook showing how Hyperion covers the equivalent of most Manhattan.
Benefiting from the progress of the company, Zuckerberg shared: “Semiianalysis has just reported that Meta is on the right track to be the first laboratory to bring a 1GW + SuperCluster online.”
The post summarizes how Meta will combine the massive computing power and the elite talents to advance the superintendent, supported by hundreds of billions of dollars in investments in calculation infrastructure. The new Meta superintendent laboratories promise to have the highest calculation by industry researcher.
Despite constant growth, last year’s revenues, reaching 165 billion dollars, Meta spending in the world of improved intelligence is continuing.
Capital expenditure of 2025 of the company was increased to around 64 to 72 billion dollars, but investors seem to be slightly more cautious at the moment when these massive AI investments are becoming profitable.
With the competition warming up against Openai, Google, Microsoft and Amazon – among others – Meta aims to put online the first Gigawatt -Plus AI cluster with Prometheus of next year.
Speaking on the company’s latest quarterly report, Zuckerberg wrote: “AI continues to transform everything we do.” He highlighted five key areas of investment and long -term opportunities: improving advertising, more engaging experiences, commercial messages, Meta IA and AI devices.
