FO reaffirms a zero tolerance position on terrorism

Pakistan has reiterated its zero tolerance position against terrorism and stressed its central role in global efforts to combat terrorism.

Pakistan remains firm in its commitment to international cooperation and has played a crucial role in the fight against terrorism, as evidenced by Sharifullah’s apprehension, the brain behind the abbey abbey attack, Foreign Office (FO) said in a statement on Friday.

The declaration also discussed the investigations underway on the Pahalgam incident, which occurred in the contested region of Jammu-et-Cachemire occupied by India (IIOJK).

The FO rejected any complaint connecting the incident to Lashkar-E-Taiba (Let), a deceased organization that was prohibited in Pakistan years ago. The FO pointed out that Pakistan managed to dismantle such outfits, arrested and continued their leadership and actually de -radized their executives.

The Declaration also stressed India’s trend to exploit the designations of terrorist groups to promote anti-Pakistani accounts. He noted that this tactic often serves to divert international attention from human rights violations during India, in particular in IIOJK.

“Although the question considered relates to American national laws, India has experience in the exploitation of such designations to push anti-Pakistani propaganda to divert international attention from its irresponsible and thug behavior,” the statement said.

He added that Pakistan remains an anti -terrorist rampart, having made unrivaled sacrifices in the world fight against extremism.

The FO called for the international community to adopt objective and non -discriminatory policies to combat terrorism, stressing the need for collective global action against all terrorist organizations.

In this regard, Pakistan has urged the inclusion of the major brigade as an alias of the Balutch Liberation Army (Bla) in the list of designated terrorist organizations, concluded the declaration.
