- Dinner based in Los Angeles offers an EV load, food and more
- The project was in preparation for seven years
- Tesla owners can synchronize movies on the big screen with car screens
Tesla officially opened the doors to its retro-futuristic restaurant, which is located on Boulevard Santa Monica in Los Angeles and is coupled with a load and hip meeting destination.
Announced for the first time by CEO Elon Musk in 2018, the project only inaugurated two years, with very little information while waiting for what it would imply.
But, unlike some other Tesla’s projects, he seems to have exceeded his promise.
The large corner plot houses 80 V4 compressor stands which are open to all electric vehicles with the North American load port (NACs), while solar awnings offer drivers and provide energy to the charging points and the site.
There is also a 24/7 restaurant, with a upper lever Skypad to eat outdoors, burgers, fries, a chicken wing, milkshakes and other classic all-American culinary delights. In addition, Tesla owners can order via a tailor -made catering application inside their vehicles and have food delivered to their car.
To watch
Two 66 -foot LED “Megascreens” play a rotation of modern and classic films, which can be appreciated by the Skypad or the interior of the car for an authentic to the reader’s experience, because a tailor -made application synchronizes interior displays with everything that happens outside.
According to Tesla, the menu was organized by chef Eric Greenspan and the restaurateur Bill Chait, but was designed to imitate the offers found in the classic guests of yesterday. So think of cheeseburgers, fries and shakes.
Of course, there is also a stand of goods that sells everything, ceilings and t-shirts with “supercharged gummies”. Oh, and food is served in small boxes in the shape of a cybertruck, which is cute.
Analysis: Exactly what industry is needs
Despite recent registration figures suggesting that electric vehicles are slowly more popular with buyers in the United States, in Europe and beyond, there is still a large public sector that remains on the fence-or simply hates technology.
Tesla’s dinner does not really need to exist, but it is exactly the kind of thing that proves that electric vehicles can offer something a little different. The possibility of loading, eating and taking advantage of a film simultaneously certainly beats petrol on your hands in a service station.
Elon Musk has already suggested that he planned to deploy more sites if proves it, while Rivian already has some of the coolest outposts of Joshua Tree and Yosemite.
Porsche and Mercedes-Benz also widen their charge salons, which offer a premium environment and good coffee to anyone who uses them.
This is an intelligent solution to the potential point of Pain of the EV property – transforming the negative of longer load sessions into a positive experience.
It is also judicious to move electric vehicles from the constant environmental message, the reduction of CO2 and the rhetoric of reasonable fuel economies. Suggesting that they can also be fun is an intelligent way to persuade an undecided audience and the next generation.
