- Chatgpt might not be without advertising forever
- Chatgpt leader Nick Turley says that announcements could be implemented in the future in certain Openai products
- Chatgpt could remain without advertising, but at what price?
The Chatgpt leader says Openai could implement advertisements on his products in the future, but only if they are “reflected and good taste”.
Addressing The Verge, Nick Turley, the chatgpt chief, was asked about the possibility that the IA chatbot obtains announcements in the future. Although he reluctant to answer, he gave an overview of how he considers Chatgpt advertising and could not completely exclude him.
Turley said: “Listen, since you really try to comment on the advertisements, I have become quite humble not to make crazy, extreme and long-term statements on a question like this, because there may be a certain market where people are not willing to pay ourselves, but we want to offer the best, the best and the biggest. Maybe that would be a place to consider other indirect forms of monetization.”
He added that if the company should implement advertisements, they would need to do it in a “very, very careful and deliberate because I really think that the thing that makes Chatgpt Magical is the fact that you get the best answer for you, and there are no other stakeholders in the middle.”
Although it seems quite positive for the future of an experience of chatgpt without advertising, Turley could not exclude it completely, opting rather for a more diplomatic approach. He said: “I am humble enough not to exclude him categorically, but we must be very thoughtful and of good taste on this subject.”
Perhaps more positive, however, is that it seems to think that if advertisements appear on OPENAI products, then it is likely to be on other offers from the company, not the most popular IA chatbot in the world with more than 700 million weekly users.
He said: “We are going to build other products, and these other products can have different dimensions, and perhaps Chatgpt is simply not an advertising product, because it is so deeply responsible for your objectives.”
Chatgpt is without advertisement, but subscriptions will probably increase
Although Nick Turley’s comments leave me hope for an experience of chatgpt without advertising in the foreseeable future, I feel less positive about a platform even more on several levels which pays for its best features.
Yesterday, Chatgpt began to deploy Gmail connectivity, but its best capacities are paid behind Chatgpt Pro, a subscription of $ 200 /200 £ per month.
As an abundance Chatgpt Plus that pays $ 20 / £ 20 per month, I noticed the difference in capacity between the paid version and the free version, and although I understand that Optai needs to earn money as a business, $ 240 £ 240 per year resembles a steep demand.
I worry that the future of AI is paid behind premium subscriptions, and I think it is the direction in which we are heading. Even companies like Google have offered subscriptions to the Premium AI with the best Pixel smartphones for a year; However, after this initial period, the same gemini AI capabilities are paid.
If subscriptions and basic free levels are the way IA companies justify chatbots without advertising, then I am more pro-added than I would never have thought. In fact, give me a chatpppt to advertising with full access to the same thing than a more for free account; I would take this providing a heavy sum of money every month.
