Washington: The owner of the American dog was shot down by his pet after jumping on his bed and triggered a loaded pistol, the police announced on Wednesday.

The man, from Memphis, Tennessee, slept next to his female partner when he was killed early Monday morning, escaping with a left thigh dough which was treated in the hospital.

The dog – a pit bull of the age of one named Oreo – “put his paw stuck in the Pontet and ended up hitting the trigger,” said a police incident report.

He did not specify the type of weapon drawn and recorded the incident as “an accidental injury”.

Although armed violence is prolific in the United States, cases of animals that shoot humans are rare.

Two years ago, a German shepherd dog shot a 30 -year -old man in Kansas after walking on a hunting rifle.

In 2018, a 51-year-old man from Iowa was shot down by his mixture of Pit-Bull-Labrador.

The local Fox 13 Memphis news station quoted the girlfriend of the victim of Tennessee, who was not appointed, saying that she was sleeping when the weapon started.

“The dog is a fun dog, and he likes to jump and do things like that, and it happened,” she said.

His lesson in the incident: “Keep safety or use a trigger lock.”
