A warehouse belonging to an online food delivery company in Karachi caught fire on Monday evening, with firefighters faced with significant challenges in the launch of the operation to extinguish the fire.
Although they have reached the unhappy storage site located in the Nazimabad region of the port city, the firefighters could not enter the premises due to excessive smoke and a lack of ventilation, leaving them unable to start fire fighting efforts, even four hours after the fire of the fire.
The officials pulled a warehouse wall to let the smoke escape so that the fire can be sprayed.
The warehouse, filled with various goods, including grocery articles, has only one entry point, which complicated the situation, said the heads of the fire service.
Five firefighters are currently on the scene, but officials said they could not say with certainty how long the operation will take the fire.
