- The latest Google Beta messages hides a working version of group chat mutum
- Functionality requires efforts to work, but seems likely to launch soon
- There is no word yet on an release date
Earlier this month, we reported rumors that the suggested Google messages would get a rehearsal function so that you can temporarily deactivate group cat notifications, and now it seems even more likely that this feature is in progress.
It is according to a new dismantling of the Android authority of the latest version of Google messages, in which the AA team has really managed to operate the tool – suggesting that it is very close to the output.
The snooze function will see a new button added to the toolbar (which appears at the top of the screen when you press a cat for a long time).
Choosing the snooze will cause a second appearance of a menu, where you can choose to cut a group chain for an hour, eight hours, 24 hours or “always”. The menu also reveals that “the other members will not see that you have repeated this cat”.
You can also change your rehearsal options in user profiles, this option giving you the possibility of refining the notifications – such as everything except direct @ mentions in the cat.
An essential group cat
Mutting can be an invaluable group cat function. Sometimes you just have to focus on something for a few hours and you don’t want your phone to be bombed with notifications. And we have all been in the family group cat which could just be a few very active parents who pinging in both directions – it would be impolite to leave, but only about 5% of the messages are relevant to you (and if a message is relevant, the sender can still @ you).
Mutting allows you to remove certain distractions from your life without stopping completely socially.
As with all disclosed features, there is no guarantee that it will be launched; However, given what extent the muging functionality is already in depth, it seems likely that it is not only along the way, but on the way soon.
If and when it ends up being launched, it seems that it could be joined by two other very useful Google messages that are also tanned by the latest beta version.
