Out of nowhere and without much fanfare, Zynga has launched a brand new free game Borderlands mobile game.
Borderlands Mobile was suddenly released by the mobile gaming company on Thursday this week, somewhat by chance, and is developed by Star Wars: Hunters studio, NaturalMotion.
The spinoff game, which Zynga calls a “limited-time test,” doesn’t have a fancy title and is currently only available on the App Store for iPhone users in the United States. I tried to download the game in the UK, but encountered a region lock issue.

No trailer or gameplay has been shared for Borderlands Mobile at the moment, but based on App Store screenshots it appears to feature characters of the largest Borderlands franchise, like Tiny Tina, Moxxi, a Psycho and Claptrap.
We know that the game is an “action-packed shooter” like the previous one. Borderlands games, introduces Vault Hunters and “brings chaos, art style and gun shooting adventure to mobile for the first time!”
