Blizzard Entertainment suddenly revealed a new top-down hero shooter set in the Monitoring universe.
Title Rush to Overwatchit is currently in “early stages of development” and is built exclusively for Android and iOS devices. It’s meant to deliver bite-sized action with short competitive matches in which players compete in the shoes of some of the series’ most iconic characters.
Early gameplay footage suggests that existing heroes like Tracer, Soldier 76, Mercy, Reinhart, Reaper, Lucio, and more will all be featured with skills similar to their character’s. Monitoring counterparts.
The game is developed by a group of developers entirely separate from the main group. Monitoring team within Blizzard, so this will not impact the development of the main game.

The game will be a free-to-play experience with optional in-game purchases. Blizzard also confirmed that it currently does not support any mobile controllers, although this may be added later during development.
There is currently no official word on a release date, but you can expect updates on the game’s official Discord server ahead of release.
The announcement of this project follows the recent rebranding of Monitoring 2 has Monitoring and a renewed focus on long-term live service support.
