- Hulu ordered a pilot for a revival of the cult television show Buffy The Vampire Slayer
- Sarah Michelle Gellar should come back under the name of Buffy Summers, with ChloƩ Zhao, Oscar winner
- The producers of original French shows and Kaz Kuzui will come back, but Joss Whedon will not be involved
From Buffy The Vampire Slayer ended with his seventh season over 20 years ago, not only has he became one of the best Hulu shows, but a potential cover of the supernatural cult series with Sarah Michelle Gellar has been boiling for some time. Now it seems that the buffyverse is about to be extended once again (with a feeling) thanks to a pilot control of Hulu – and you bet I can’t wait to sink my teeth.
Returning to this role which made her a familiar name, Sarah Michelle Gellar will play like Buffy Summers on one of the best streaming services, with the Oscar -winning director Chloe Zhao (Nomadic) looked at to take the reins of the pilot episode with Nora and Lilla Zuckerman (Impassive face) aligned as writers. But one of the most exciting parts of her production team is the addition of Gellar herself as an executive producer, in addition to the return of producers from the original French program Fran Kuzui and Kaz Kuzi. The original show writer Joss Whedon will not return, which is appropriate only given his allegations of misconduct.
That the original members of the gangs of Scooby Willow (Allison Hannigan), Xander (Nicholas Brendan) and Giles (Anthony Stewart Head) make a return remain to be determined, but for the moment, the news of the return of Gellar is sufficient to Lock me in it.
What is the next step for Sunnydale?
Retrospectively, the buffyverse scale increased since its last episodes broadcast in 2002 and 2003 with Buffy’s Adventure continuing in the comic strip series, and of course without forgetting its derived series Angel (1999-2004). Consequently, with regard to its Hulu renewal, there are many paths that Zhao and his executive producer colleagues could take Buffy fire.
After the news of the pilot order, the Hollywood Reporter briefly affected the management of Hulu Buffy The Vampire Slayer Revival will take and said that he could focus on a new central character – another young killer. Despite the golden rule of being Buffyverse that there is only one killer at a time, the restart of Hulu could return this to his head and explore the possibilities that there are several killers like his Last episode. With a new central slayer in place, this means that the character of Buffy will however be on the sidelines, despite the previous position of Sarah Michelle Gellar on a Buffy The Vampire Slayer Restart I am surprised that his character is coming back.
An exciting return, or an ambitious and nervous project?
In short, the answer is both. Be a big fan of the original Buffy Show, there is no lie that I am very excited to relive by looking at the show for the first time, but now that it finally meets, I can’t help but ask myself. Who changed?
An official restart has never been Really On the cards, despite the fans who desperately want one, and even Gellar (Buffy Summers herself) had never considered returning so far, after recently shared an interview with The Hollywood Reporter; “I’m always used to saying no, because it’s in her bubble, and it’s so perfect,” she said during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show. “But to look Sex and city (following And just like that) and see Dexterand realize there are The ways to do so, think you definitively think: “Well, perhaps.”
I think that when it comes to television shows that have raised a cult like Buffy The Vampire SlayerA restart is inevitable, which is an exciting proposal, but which could easily collapse if it is not perfectly executed. As it stands, emissions like And just like that took the art of restarting by modernizing its approach to characters and history while maintaining this familiar charm that we love in the original Sex and city series. If they want to succeed Buffy The Vampire Slayer Restarting, in my opinion, all they have to do is bring James Marsters back as Spike, and these are 10 of me.
