A strong earthquake that struck the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, sending shock waves for fear among residents who rushed out of their homes and offices reciting prayers.
According to the seismological center, the earthquake measured 4.8 on the Richter scale with a depth of 17 kilometers. The epicenter was located 8 kilometers southwest of Rawalpindi.
The tremors were particularly intense in the high -rise buildings, which prompted the occupants to evacuate in panic. To date, no victim or material damage has been reported. However, the authorities closely monitor the situation and assess any potential impact.
