To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Diablo franchise, Blizzard added the Warlock class to Diablo 2: Resurrectedand announced that he would also arrive at Diablo 4 And Diablo Immortal This year.
During the Diablo 30th Anniversary Spotlight, Blizzard’s Shadow Has Fallen The Warlock’s Reigna major content update for Diablo 2: Resurrectedwhich also introduced the game’s first new playable class in over 25 years: Warlock.
“The Warlock is a mysterious and dark scholar who spent years studying his taboo profession in the shadows, but that is no longer the case. Use his formidable power to bind demons and wreak havoc on your enemies,” Blizzard said.
“Reign of the Warlock brings new Terror Zones, fearsome Colossal Ancients to conquer, player-requested quality of life changes, and much more. Use this powerful new class to fight your way through the hordes of demons, using your dark arts to dominate your enemies. »

The Warlock is also coming as a cross-franchise class and will be added to Diablo Immortal in the summer of 2026, alongside the new chapter of the game, Andariel gets up, which features a series of new campaign updates throughout the year.
Diablo 4the upcoming expansion, Lord of Hatewhich launches on April 28, will also receive the Warlock class, as well as Paladin, new endgame systems, the Skovos region, and much more.
According to Blizzardm, this Spotlight marks the start of a significant year for the Diablo franchise, “with major new releases and updates leading up to BlizzCon 2026 in September.”
Diablo 4 Game director Brent Gibson even teased the upcoming event, telling his colleague in a fake ending to the video: “Are we okay? Are we clear? Oh my god, they’re going to freak out at BlizzCon when we announce-” before he trailed off.
Elsewhere, Monitoring 2 officially dropped the “2” and reverted to simply “Monitoring” as the game’s first-ever year-long story, The Reign of Talon, officially debuted this week.
The new era of Monitoring begins with Season 1 and will run from 2026 until Season 6, after which a new story and Season 1 will then launch in 2027. 10 new heroes will launch during this time, and the first five are already available.
