Epson has launched four new projectors, and two of them will particularly interest Apple users. Indeed, for the first time, Epson offers AirPlay compatibility for projector buyers at the retail cinema – something that has been available in the LG Cinebeam range for some time.
The four projectors are all 3LCD models with 3 chips and they are divided into two products: Home Cinema Projectors and Projectors. Airplay models also support Miracast.
The Home Cinema projectors are the Home Cinema 1100, which in Airplay, and the Home Cinema 980, which did not do it.
Pro models are the pro projector pro EX9270, which is the Airplay model, and the ex3290, which is not.
New Epson projectors: key features and price
Home cinema of $ 899 (therefore about £ 660 or $ 1,370 in) is evaluated for 3,400 lumens of color and white brightness, and the Cinema Homema 980 of $ 799 is evaluated at 4,000 lumens.
Both offer a 1080p complete HD resolution with sizes up to 300 inches, the two have image biases and both HDMI ports. They present 3LCD technology with 3 Epson chips which provides “exceptional” images in a wide range of lighting conditions.
The $ 999 Pro Ex9270 with Airplay is estimated at 4100 Lumens and the $ 649 Pro Ex3290 is evaluated at 4,000. As the Home Cinema projectors, they also include the 3LCD system and can launch images up to 300 inches; The ex9270 is complete HD and the ex3290 is WXGA. There are HDMI twin ports, an image bias sensor and integrated speakers, and the Pro Ex9270 also has an optical zoom of 1.6x.
The four projectors are now available directly from Epson and authorized retailers.
